A Special Visitor !

During our June 20th (2008) show at Fisherman's Village a man in the audience came up at break and introduced himself. His name was Bobby Hendricks and he is one of the early lead singers of The Drifters back in 1957. He still tours with various members of the group. He recently did a special with the band on PBS. We asked him to join us with our rendition of Under The Boardwalk .

What a spectacular occurrence for the Snake Oil Bandits!

Snake Oil Bandits Making Music
Dr "G"

Dave Gooding <aka Dr "G" > has been playing in bands since he was a teenager. His early years were spent mostly on the drum set. He has been a family physician in Florida since 1991 and specifically in Englewood since 1994. He and Sharon married in 1989 and have 3 musically talented children who make up half of The Snake Oil Bandits.

Liz Krupa has been musically talented since she was a child. She is classically trained in voice and piano. She owns Freedom Physical Therapy in Englewood. She enjoys singing with Chorale and other musical venues. She is married to Greg, a Lemon Bay High teacher and the sound man for the band.

Stephen Krupa, son of Liz and Greg, plays guitar and sings for the band. Steve has played several instruments including sax, trumpet, clarinet, and guitar. He played for the L.A. Ainger jazz band in middle school. He is also an excellent go-cart race driver, ranked number 1 in Florida last year. He attends Lemon Bay High.

Kyle Gooding is attending Lemon Bay High and plays bass and sings for the band. He played trombone and bass with the L.A. Ainger jazz band. Besides his musical talent, Kyle likes remote controlled cars, hockey, and is working on his Eagle scout rank. He wants to pursue a career in automotive design and engineering.

Chris Gooding is the youngest member of the band, presently 12 years old. He stands out as the groupís sax player but actually started out playing the keyboard with the band. Some of the first songs the group learned still feature Chris on the keyboards. He also lends a hand with some percussion. Chris attends L.A. Ainger and likes hockey and just being as kid.

Sean Gooding is the drummer for the band. Sean showed talent early on as a drummer and was number 1 in the county as an 8th grader. His natural talent shines through on many songs and he is now into advanced lessons. He attends Lemon Bay High. Other interests include hockey and his friends nick-named him "math man" in middle school.
