The main gallery was full up with members and friends of Laura McCrocklin. They got together and put on a bring-a-dish buffet and a program designed to let Laura know how much they appreciate her efforts at the EAC.

Past president of the Englewood Art Center Rachel Parios expressed her appreciation to Laura McCrocklin, former EAC manager, for her work on behalf of the EAC. Parios currently heads the Englewood Advisory Committee.

Mary Ann Burke, a true backer and supporter of the EAC, expressed appreciation for Laura's efforts and people skills.

Joan Baringer, long time active member of the Englewood Art Center and recipient in May of one of two EAC Lifetime Achievement Awards (Marion Strunz received the other). She expressed thanks to Laura on the way in which she sharpened and clarified the EAC's meaning to the community.

Michael Handley, former officer and trustee of the EAC and instructor joined a long line of people with good things to say about the departing Laura McCrocklin.

Neva Newman, EAC member, exhibit award-winner and participant in Tuesday open studio sessions, expressed her appreciation and --like all the speakers--had a hard time keeping her voice under control.

Katrina Meyer, who teaches wrap jewelry making at the EAC, thanked Laura for her class scheduling skills and wished her well.

Laura McCrocklin expressed her thanks to each of the members for making her job both easy and tremendously enjoyable. "I hate leaving a place that I know and love," she said. "I hope that the Englewood Art Center will continue to grow and prosper and remain a 'social and fun' learning facility."
