Summary:
This boat is now 33 years old and registered as an "Antique Vessel" in the
State of Florida.
On October 6th, 2008 she went into the yard for minor maintenance and bottom
painting. (The bottom was extensively repaired in Sept 2006. At that time she
had three (3) coats of Petit Vivid anti-fouling paint (West Marine #5917737 -
Red)
applied. Red then White then Blue (to help determine when she needs paint
again.) The water line is just starting to show "red" and so I figured that now
was a good time to add two more coats of RED to her bottom (probably 3 at water
line).
The trip to the boat yard (37 miles) took a flat 8 hours. We averaged 4.8
knots and used 5 gallons of diesel. Engine RPM was 1,800 to 2,300 depending on
tides and winds. No overheating problems and with water temps in mid 80's this
is good (temp runs 180 degrees).
The bilge is very dry (well, about 2 inches of water sits there and pump runs
only when I turn it on manually (never comes on otherwise - doesn't leak enough
to run on automatic).
The boat was purchased 3/22/2005.

the water line.) She has a Blue (tape) stripe above that.
